- IMPORTANT NOTE: For easy installation - we recommend that 3" x 5" - 3/8" floats be used with 1/4" Rope . Please note however that the floats will not lock onto the 1/4" rope. If you wish the floats to lock on the rope, we recommend moving up to 3/8" Rope. Using 3/8" Rope will allow the floats to lock, but are slightly more difficult to install. The float's individual parts may need to be separated during installation to allow the rope to pass through the holes.
